Greytone's San Francisco "Cluster" Holiday Party

Holiday Fun in San Francisco

The San Francisco Collection of Greystone Hotels - Hotel Griffon, the Inn at Union Square, and the King George Hotel - celebrated their annual holiday party last week in Union Square. It was a great time for all three properties to get together and celebrate the season! They celebrated with a catered lunch, a raffle with fun prizes, and, of course, with karaoke!

Along with celebrating together as a team, they participated in their own toy drive. For every present brought to the event, Greystone Hotels VP of Business Development, Marc Horodas, would match and donate to Toys for Tots. It was a great success and many toys were donated to the foundation.

Creekside Inn Advances to, "Leadership-Level" in Green Lodging Program 

Creekside Inn is committed to a green future by being an eco-friendly hotel by engaging in practices to save energy. The Creekside is happy to announce its recent accomplishment of advancing to, "Leadership-Level" in the Green Lodging Program. This is a great program that Creekside Inn is happy to participate in to help reduce the carbon footprint for travel and supporting California's green initiative!

Creekside Inn Upgrades to a Brand New Tesla for Guests Transport

The Creekside Inn welcomes to the property their new hybrid vehicle, a brand new Tesla. Creekside Inn offers complimentary local shuttle service (via the new Tesla), plus electric vehicle charging stations for all guests. This is a wonderful addition to the property, where guests can schedule to be drop-off's and/or pick-up's to/from a local destinations including CalTrain. The Creekside Inn... now providing Exceptional Hybrid Shuttle service via their brand new Tesla!!

Hotel Griffon Hosts Client Appreciation Social

On December 3rd, Hotel Griffon had the honor of hosting a Client Appreciation Social for the Greystone Hotels San Francisco Collection. It was a grand evening filled with laughter, drinks, food, and good company. It was a pleasure to meet new clientele, as well as see again familiar faces.

Throughout the evening, there was a raffle giveaway. There were many great prizes that were won, such as a one-night stay at the Hotel Griffon, a two-night stay at the new property addition-Hotel Los Gatos, as well as gift certificates. It was a great night for all and Hotel Griffon was happy to celebrate and show appreciation to all clients in the area! Until next year!

Joel Majors named "GMs to Watch" by Hotel Management Magazine

General Managers to Look Out For: Joel Majors, Empress Hotel La Jolla


Joel Majors, General Manager of the Empress Hotel (La Jolla, CA) was featured in Hotel Management magazine as part of their "GMs to Watch" section.

Joel has been with Greystone Hotels for over a decade and is best known for his great work ethic and his genuine care for guests. It is one of the great ways he inspires his own staff with the concept of the Golden Rule but with his own flare to "treat guests how you would like to be treated and exceed their expectations." Joel recently faced the challenge of pleasing guests while the hotel was going through a major renovation of Greystone's La Jolla property. Joel was able to handle situations gracefully with an emphasis on the guests overall experience. Greystone Hotels is honored to have one of their esteemed General Managers featured in Hotel Management magazine.
