Greystone's Earth Day Celebration - A Day of Service

Greystone Hotels Celebrates Earth Day!

In honor and celebration of Earth Day 2016, Greystone Hotels 11 properties in California and Oregon each took part in a day of service in their local community. Each hotel chose an organization that provided direct connection to their local area. From Bend, Ore., all the way down to the beaches of La Jolla, and downtown San Diego, here are some photos and recaps of each:

Bristol Hotel, San Diego celebrated with the YWCA of San Diego County by putting together and donating kits to Becky’s House, a domestic violence shelter for men, women and children in San Diego. (Becky's House - www.ywcasandiego.org)










King George Hotel, San Francisco volunteered with GLIDE, a local organization that creates a community to alleviate suffering by poverty. The King George Hotel participated in a day of feeding the hungry. (Glide's "Feed the Hungry" Initiativewww.glide.org/feedthehungry)












Fairfield Inn & Suites and TownePlace Suites, Bend, Oregon partnered with Bend Parks and Recreation Department to help clean up a future site for a community park. (SE Bend Park Site Cleanup - www.getconnected.volunteerconnectnow.org)












Best Western Seven Seas, San Diego and Empress Hotel, La Jolla volunteered with their families at the Creek to Bay Clean-up. (14th Annual Creek to Bay Clean Up - www.creektobay.org)



























Elan Hotel, Los Angeles spent their time cleaning up a local park, Pan Pacific Park, in Los Angeles County. (Clean Pan Pacific Park - www.laparks.org)



Inn at Union Square and Hotel Griffon, San Francisco together joined the organization, Adopt a Street, where both properties helped clean-up Justin Herman Plaza and Sue Bierman Park. (Adopt-A-Street Program - www.sfdpw.org/adopt-street-program.com)











Hotel Los Gatos, Los Gatos volunteered by cleaning up a local beach. (Save our Shores - http://www.saveourshores.org/)














Creekside Inn, Palo Alto volunteered at a local organization to feed the hungry. (La Comida de California - http://www.lacomida.org/Pages/default.aspx )
