On March 27, Bertrand and Sanjay from the King George competed in the Oakland Running Festival! The race was 26.2 miles and was split into 4 parts, with a different team member running each leg. They were inspired by Norbert, the GM of the Hotel Griffon and the Inn at Union Square , who has been fostering a “healthy living/fitness focused environment” at his hotels.
The goal of the Royal Running Crew was to finish the race in less than 5 hours and 30 minutes and they actually finished in 4 hours and 45 minutes! Way to go guys! Bertrand credits their success to great teamwork and to the residents ofOakland for being so supportive throughout the race. Next year, Bertrand hopes to have 2-4 Greystone teams participating in the relay.
